Older Installation Patches

Instructions: Unless otherwise instructed by CTI Tech Support, the patches below apply only to older installations (typically prior to 2009) of CTI Navigator 2000.

Run "SOAP By-Pass DCOM" if you encounter a "... not registered","... not exist" or "not supported" error when logging into CTI Navigator or sending MLS information over the Internet. (The SOAP patch by-passes Windows DCOM and uses Microsoft's more advanced ".NET Framework" technology for Internet connectivity.)

Run and unzip "Update Manager 16" (or UpdateManager x86 in 64-bit Windows) if updates for MLS files fail to pass through a firewall on your computer or network and you have not been able to configure security programs on your computer to allow updates through (select Configure Security on the CTI Help and Tutorials menu for instructions on configuring firewalls).

Run Set DCOM and Tunneling if an older installation of CTI Navigator 2000 needs to send information securely over the Internet from your computer to the MLS server. DCOM and Tunneling can also be set separately by running "Set DCOM Policy" and "Set Secure Tunneling."

Run "Re-register MLS Send" if logging into an older installation of CTI Navigator 2000 or sending information from CTI Navigator 2000 over the Internet fails. See also Remote Server does not exist or is Unavailable" error (462).

If the CTI Navigator Desktop function currently incurring an error recently worked on this computer, and all other approaches to fixing the error have failed (including the SOAP Patch), you can use the Windows System Restore function to attempt to reset Windows back to when everything worked correctly. For instructions, see the related article link below, "Restore Windows System files"

Otherwise, to restore the CTI Navigator program to run in Windows,  un-install CTI Navigator 2000 and re-install CTI Navigator Desktop. For instructions, see "Uninstall CTI Navigator Desktop" and  "Download, Install or access CTI Navigator program or MLS data" in the related article below.

Note: You do not need to install the CTI Navigator Desktop program in your Windows to use MLS functions. You can run CTI Navigator Web in your Internet browser without installing any files from CTI. For further information, select CTI Navigator Web on the "Download, Install or access CTI Navigator program or MLS data" web page in CTI's Help and Tutorials menu
