The error message "File Already Exists" or "File Already in Use" indicates that a file CTI Navigator Desktop is attempting to use is already open, locked or corrupted. The fix is to replace a corrupted file, and close, unlock or replace a locked file. See the section below for the "File in use by another user" error.
Installation: If the error occurs during installation of MLS data, delete the corrupted Mls.mdb data file and replace it as follows:
Photo Update: If the error occurs while updating photos:
Photo Manager: If the error occurs when using Photo Manager:
Note 1. The path to the " \Cti Navigator\{YourMLScode}\Users\{Your Agent Name}\Photo Import\" folder for your MLS data depends on when you installed the CTI Navigator Desktop program, and into which version of Windows it was installed.
Add/Modify Listing (or Rental): If the error occurs when opening the Add/Revise screen, or when selecting a property in the Add/Revise screen:
Note 2: Where instructions refer to {YourMLScode}, substitute CTI's 3-letter code for your local MLS. This code can be determined by opening the CTI Navigator login screen > click the Setup button > first 3 letters in the Internet Server Address box are the MLS code. Where instructions refer to {YourAgentName}, substitute your name exactly as it is spelled in the MLS Roster.

The "File in use by another user" error when compacting data indicates that there is not enough available unused space on the computer's hard drive. The compact function requires at least 200 MB of free space. To fix this error, either delete sufficient files on your hard drive to free-up more than 200 MB of space (which is recommended); or set CTI Navigator Desktop to use data over the Internet instead of inside your computer. (Note: If you set CTI Navigator Desktop to use data over the Internet, your computer must have Internet access to open and run CTI Navigator.) For setup instructions, see "Set Data to Internet Option" in the related article "Install MLS Data Index".)
