Error messages such as "Remote server does not exist or is unavailable" (error 429), "Interface not Registered" or "Class not Registered" when logging into CTI Navigator over the Internet, or when sending new or retrieving existing listing information, photos, or CTI Matchmaker, indicate that: (1) one or more of the Internet components in your Windows is not properly activated, configured, installed or registered; or (2) something such as an Internet Firewall, Proxy Server, or ISP filter is interfering with secure remote computer connections over the Internet.

To fix error "Interface not Registered" when sending MLS data, or to fix error "Class not Registered" when logging into CTI Navigator in Windows Vista or XP run the SOAP patch described below (for details, see Class Not Registered on Local Machine in the related articles below).
If the SOAP patch has already been installed or does not resolve the problem, un-install and then re-install CTI Navigator (see "Download, Install or Access CTI Navigator..." in related articles below).
If installing the SOAP patch, and uninstalling then reinstalling CTI Navigator does not resolve the error, your Windows .NET Framework probably is corrupted and needs to be repaired. For information on troubleshooting and possibly repairing Microsoft .NET Framework, see Microsoft DotNET Framework errors in the related articles below.
To fix "remote server" errors, click on the link below appropriate for your version of Windows and follow the instructions:
Unlike in Windows 7 and Vista (see below), CTI Navigator does not need administrative privileges in Windows 8.1 or 10.
If your CTI Navigator Desktop program was installed in Windows 7 or Windows Vista prior to April 17, 2012, you should verify that CTI Navigator was granted "administrative privileges" when it was installed in Windows. (Note - granting administrative privileges is not needed and is not appropriate for installations after April 212.) To do so, open Windows Explorer > browse to C:\Program Files\CTI Navigator [or, in a 64-bit version of Windows, to C:\Program Files (x86)]\CTI Navigator\) > right-click on CTI Navigator.exe > select Properties > click the Compatibility tab > under Privilege Level, check "Run this program as an Administrator" > click Apply > click "Show/Change Settings for All Users" button (if this button is displayed) and in Privilege Level under the "Compatibility for All Users" tab, check "Run this program as an Administrator" > click OK..
Configure security in Windows. To configure security in Windows XP, Vista or 7, follow the instructions in the related article below entitled "Configure Security Settings in Windows." Note that security settings in Windows will not override security settings in third-party programs (such as Norton, McAfee, AVG or ZoneAlarm firewalls) which may need to be similarly configured.
If CTI Navigator was installed on this computer before June 2008, follow the instructions to use the SOAP Patch to Bypass DCOM (see SOAP Patch section below).
If all Internet functions of CTI Navigator were working correctly recently and the applicable steps above do not fix the error, follow the steps in the related article, "Restore Windows System files" to restore the system files in Windows to their condition at an earlier date when everything was working correctly (if this date is available).

Configure security in Windows to allow CTI Navigator to establish remote connections across the Internet. To configure security settings for CTI Navigator in Windows XP, Vista or 7, follow the instructions in the related article below entitled "Configure Security Settings in Windows." Note that security settings in Windows will not override security settings in third-party programs (such as Norton, McAfee, AVG or ZoneAlarm firewalls) which may need to be similarly configured.
Configure (or temporarily disable or remove) any active third-party Internet Security program, Internet Accelerator, or Internet Proxy Service. General configuration instructions for commonly used security programs are provided on CTI Navigator's "Menu of Help and Tutorials" website (see the related articles below). If disabling or removing a third-party program unblocks CTI Navigator's Internet functions (allowing them to work), contact the vendor of the security or accelerator program for instructions on how to configure their program to always allow CTI Navigator.exe (and CTIUpdateManager.exe) to access http://ctimls.com over the Internet.
If security is set correctly in Windows and in third-party programs as described above, and CTI Navigator was installed on this computer before June 2008, you can install the SOAP Patch to allow CTI Navigator to use more advanced Windows Interconnectivity code.

If CTI Navigator Desktop was installed on this computer before June 2008 and you are not able to log into CTI Navigator over the Internet or to send information from your computer to the MLS server (such as listings, photos, or Matchmakers), run the Windows SOAP patch as described below. This SOAP patch allows CTI Navigator to bypass the older DCOM technology in older Windows and instead to use Microsoft's newer, more advanced ".NET Framework" technology for Internet data transmission.
Note: To see if this patch is already installed on this computer, open the Windows Control Panel and look for "CTI Navigator - SOAP Update" in the list of installed Programs (under "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows XP, and under "Programs and Features" in Windows Vista).
To install the SOAP Update to Windows:
Note: If Microsoft Office or one of its components has been uninstalled from this computer, it may be necessary to register the file "MsVbVm60.dll" in the Windows\System32 folder. To register this file, open the Windows Run command and enter
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msvbvm60.dll
or follow the instructions in the related article "Register or Unregister dll or ocx Files" below.
If the SOAP patch has already been installed or does not resolve the problem after installing the patch and re-starting Windows, un-install and then re-install CTI Navigator. Uninstall CTI Navigator from the Windows Control Panel.
To install CTI Navigator Desktop over the Internet click here, or select "Download, Install or Access CTI Navigator..." in related articles below. If your computer is missing some .NET Framework components, the installation program will normally prompt your Windows to download them. Depending on how many and which components are missing, downloading .NET Framework components may add substantial time (30 minutes or more) to the installation. If some .NET Framework components in your Windows are corrupted, the entire installation may fail.
If all security settings have been verified (as described above), and installing the SOAP patch, and uninstalling then reinstalling CTI Navigator does not resolve the error, your Windows .NET Framework is probably corrupted and needs to be repaired. If your computer connects to the Internet through a proxy server or firewall on a Local Area Network (LAN), the local server should be set to use HTTP proxy with SSL Tunneling (over port 80). Otherwise, you may need to temporarily disable your Firewall or Internet Security program.
If completing all of the preceding steps still does not fix your error, open the Windows Registry editor (see warning below) by selecting Start > Run > regedit > Open. In the Registry, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > ole > beside LegacyAuthenticationLevel, if the REG_DWORD Data shows 0x00000001 (0), double-click on LegacyAuthenticationLevel and change the Value data from 0 to 1 > do not make any other changes > verify that REG_DWORD shows 0x00000001 (1)> exit the Registry Editor > re-start Windows.Warning: Before you modify the Windows Registry, it is advisable to back it up and ensure that you understand how to restore the registry if a problem occurs. For information about how to back up, restore, and edit the registry, read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry (see the related article link below).
If the CTI Navigator function currently incurring error 462 recently worked correctly on this computer, and all other approaches to fixing the error have failed (including the SOAP Patch for older installations), you can use the Windows System Restore function to attempt to reset Windows back to when everything worked correctly. For restoration instructions, see the related article link below, "Restore Windows System files".
As an alternative to installing and using CTI Navigator Desktop, you can use the Internet browser based version of CTI Navigator Web that does not depend on your Windows system files. To run CTI Navigator Web in an Internet browser (on a Windows or Mac computer), go to http://{YourMLS}Web.ctimls.com (click here to select the appropriate address) and sign-in with your 6-character MLS agent code and password. (Substitute the 3-letter code for {YourMLS} in the website address.) You do not need to install any computer code or data from CTI to run Navigator Web. If your browser does not already have Microsoft's Silverlight plug-in, you will be prompted to install Silverlight so your browser can support CTI Navigator Web.
