Configure ZoneAlarm

Firewalls need to be configured to allow desired programs (such as CTI Navigator) or program components (such as CTI Navigator Update Manager) to access the Internet. During installation, ZoneAlarm normally prompts whether "you want ZoneAlarm to preconfigure access permission."

  1. Select Yes to have ZoneAlarm automatically set Internet access permission for programs that are already installed.
  2. Select No to have ZoneAlarm alert you to manually set Internet access permission when the program first attempts to access the Internet.
  3. Select Advanced so you can customize the Internet access permissions for programs.

If needed, you also can customize ZoneAlarm's Trusted Program List to allow CTI Navigator and CTI Update Manager to access the Internet as follows:

  1. Open ZoneAlarm
  2. Select Program Control in the left pane
  3. Select the Programs tab
  4. Select CTI Navigator in the Programs list
  5. Left click on any icon across from CTI Navigator that is not a checkmark (such as X or ?) and select " 3Allow" (including both Access and Server columns)
  6. Select CTIUpdateManager in the Programs list
  7. Left click on any icon across from UpdateManager that is not a checkmark (such as X or ?) and select " 3Allow" (including both Access and Server columns).
