Configure Panda Internet Security

The first time a program tries to access the Internet after being Installed, the firewall in Panda's Internet Security 2011 suite should display a pop-up warning message prompting you to allow or deny the connection. For CTI Navigator or CTI Update Manager, always select Allow (do not select "automatic assignment of permissions" - see note).

To change the firewall permissions of a program already listed in Panda Internet Security:

  1. Click Status in the main menu
  2. In the Protection section, click Settings
  3. Select the Firewall option
  4. In the Rules section, click Settings
  5. Select CTI Navigator in the list; or if CTI Navigator is not listed,
    • click "Add Program"
    • browse to the CTI Navigator folder
    • click on the CTI Navigator.exe file
  6. Click the drop-down menu beside CTI Navigator and select "Allow inbound and outbound".

Note: If you clear the "Enable automatic assignment of permissions" checkbox without setting the permission to Allow, a warning will display every time the program tries to access the Internet. If "Enable automatic assignment of permissions" is checked, access may be allowed sometimes and blocked sometimes.
